David Pleat wants to go out in style in front of our fans in our last home game of the season on Saturday.
Blackburn Rovers are the visitors - as they were last season - and our acting boss is determined his side's display captures the fans to make them the '12th man'.
"We're all hoping that we will finish with a game of some style," he said.
"All the boys know that the away performances have been poor in these last few weeks, destroying our hopes after such a bright recovery in February.
"This is the last home game and I'd remind everyone that in the last four home games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Newcastle and even Manchester City that there has been some spirited football played.
"We might not have got the breaks or the luck in terms of a couple of penalty decisions but you have to make your own luck in this game.
"The players will be determined to do the best they can to reward the fans for their fantastic support.
"They know they need to earn the respect of the crowd, not the other way around, but once we have earned that respect we want that 12th man because it is vital to us."
