Unfortunately Steve Gerrard soon made it 3-1 but Jamie claimed an assist to Teddy Sheringham's late reply as we ended up losing 3-2 at the Lane.
"It was difficult for him but I thought he did very well," reflected Glenn.
"He's had his first taste and it would have been nice to put him on where I felt we should have been - in control of the game.
"That would have been a better scenario to put him on but he did okay when he went on."
