The Norwegian striker was recently sidelined by a groin problem but having only played 45 minutes against Charlton on Monday and no reserve games, was thrown into the starting line-up at Craven Cottage.
He led the line superbly in the absence of Les Ferdinand in our 2-0 Premiership victory and the only thing missing was a goal to cap his display.
Boss Glenn beamed: "Steffen Iversen's come in and done terrific for us.
"He's not had any football, just two days training and hasn't played a full game for four or five weeks.
"It was a tremendous effort to play the full 90 minutes. We didn't think he would last but he kept going and he stretched them for us and gave us that little bit of space to play.
"It was because we stretched them that there was a bit more space for us and that worked well, although there was a good balance to us out there."
Glenn Hoddle praised the contribution of Steffen Iversen at Fulham after his first full game in six weeks.
