The Iceland international is enjoying a purple patch at the moment and it continued in Thursday night's 3-0 win against Inter Milan in our Europa League Round of 16, first leg at White Hart Lane.
Gylfi delivered the perfect cross for Gareth Bale to head home the opening goal and then pounced from close range to double the score as we started strongly against the Italians. That was his fourth goal for us and first at the Lane. Jan Vertonghen completed the scoring in the second half.
In our last three matches, Gylfi has scored against West Ham, assisted Gareth against Arsenal and Inter and now netted against Inter.
"It was another tremendous performance from Gylfi," said Andre. "Hopefully we can build on his confidence.
"One of the reasons we brought him to the club was his goalscoring ability and he’s found his finishing touch now. Hopefully he’ll build on it and we can have him at this level for the rest of the season."
