Glenn Hoddle has warned that the hard work starts now to maintain our excellent start to the season.
The boss was full of praise for the players and staff for taking us into third in the Premiership despite a terrible run of injuries - 13 out at one point - at the start of the season.
We now go to Anfield on Saturday for the clash of the day, third versus first and our early season form will be further tested by forthcoming league fixtures against Chelsea, Sunderland, Arsenal and Leeds.
Glenn said: "The circumstances have been against us but the players have been terrific in their performance levels and we've scored at the right times in games, that didn't happen last season.
"Everyone at the club, the players, the staff, everyone has worked very hard but we now have to work even harder to maintain that position.
"We're not crowing about anything. It's only 10 games into the season, we've started half-decently and if you'd have told me we'd be third at this stage I'd have probably taken that, although points have slipped by, especially at Fulham.
"We've got a confidence and belief about ourselves that gives you a chance in any game, against any opponents."
