Gus Poyet does not veer too far from the favourites when asked who is going to reach the latter stages of the World Cup finals.
While Gus says he hopes England do well, he can't see past France and Argentina in the final shake-up.
"I'll give you two - France and Argentina, the rest I don't know," pondered Gus.
"I hope it's England, but I don't think there is any chance for that three in the semi-finals because they will have already met each other.
"I think the two are favourites because of the team. As teams they have been playing together a long time, they have great players and it is perfect. Everything is perfect for them."
Gus continues saying an African team could cause a surprise but, overall, he just hopes that the event provides an exhibition of great football.
"I think if you are looking for a surprise there are some very good teams in there like England, Italy is difficult to beat, or even one of the African teams - there is always one in there that does well.
"I hope it's going to be a nice World Cup. I hope it's going to be better than the last one because that is what you want to watch."
And will Gus be watching the World Cup unfold?
"Of course. Here before we go off to La Manga and then the last few games in Uruguay."
