Gus Poyet will warn his team mates to be wary of the left footed threat of his former Chelsea colleague Neil Clement on Sunday.
After four years spent on the fringes at Stamford Bridge, Clement is now a fixture in the West Bromwich Albion set-up and has impressed to such an extent that he is often touted for an England place in the media.
Gus remembers Clement well from his time at Chelsea and feels he made the right move in furthering his career away from SW6.
"He was a good player then, but sometimes you have to make a decision and I think he made the right one.
"You have to say 'enough, I'd prefer to go'. I think he went at first on loan then he stayed there.
"I'd say, last year especially, he helped the team a lot by scoring goals from his position to get them to the Premiership.
"He looks like he's enjoying his football and is a very good wing-back. Very strong, very good in the air and he has an unbelieveable left foot. He can score from everywhere."
The Clement speciality is free-kicks around the penalty area and Gus insists the team must pay attention to this.
"It is a point for us to be aware of - especially with free-kicks around the box. We need to look at that with his left foot."
