£3,500 boost for relief fund

Posted on 25 January 2005  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our Radio Aid auctions on Ebay raised over £3,500 for the Indian Ocean earthquake disaster relief fund.

We had two lots in conjunction with Radio Aid. The first, a trip to Spurs Lodge and signed shirt, had 51 bids and went for £2,651 while a pair of signed Jermain Defoe boots raised another £1,000.

Both the club, players and our fans have dug deep to aid the victims of the tsumani on Boxing Day.

The club donated £50,000 as part of the Premier League's pledge of £1million, our fans raised a magnificent £10,000 in collections on New Year's Day against Everton, another £1,350 was raised via a signed shirt donated to a charity match in Hong Kong and now Radio Aid.

In addition to donations by our directors and staff, the players also made a significant, private donation.
