Postiga's got what it takes

Posted on 29 June 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Glenn feels that new signing Helder Postiga has what it takes to settle quickly into English football.

He feels sure that the particularly successful two seasons the striker has spent playing regularly for Porto will stand him in good stead for the challenges ahead.

"I think Helder can acclimatise very quickly," said Glenn. "He has had two years playing as the main striker at Porto and has come through that and gained experience very quickly.

"He had a wonderful season in Portugal and has come over to England now and I'm sure he can settle. If you are an English player changing clubs you need a little time to settle, we have seen that time and time again, but I really, truly believe that Helder can settle very quickly."

Glenn also states that the 20-year-old will slot nicely into his preferred system of play should the personnel allow.

"He has experience and, with the way we want to play if we get a fair crack of the whip and play the team we know and want to play, he will fit into that very well.

"I feel he will adjust and could make an instant impact on the new season."
