Postiga loves the Lane

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Speaking exclusively to the official site, new signing Helder Postiga look admiringly around the stands of White Hart Lane when asked how he feels about his new surroundings and uttered a simple three-word response.

"I love it," purred the Portuguese international - with little help from his interpreter.

His excitement over the move was clear to see and he pointed out that he was desperate to store the events of the day in his memory.

"I've got to make sure that I remember all this because this is the first move of my career. Of course I am very excited about it," he added before explaining that he is well aware of the talent already in place at Spurs.

"Robbie Keane, Christian Ziege, Gus Poyet, Simon Davies... I am very much looking forward to playing with them."

Former Charlton Athletic loan star Jorge Costa was a teammate of Helder's at Porto and the defender had only encouragement for the young striker when it came to discussing a switch.

"He passed on a lot of very positive images for me of Tottenham. About their position in English football and of life of London in general."
