Two Porto coaches enjoyed a week at Spurs Lodge recently - on the recommendation of Sir Bobby Robson.
Marco Leite and Alexandre Tavares took a close look at our training methods after spending similar time at Newcastle United.
They also took the chance to catch up with their former player Helder Postiga.
Coaches of junior teams at the Portuguese club, Marco reflected: "I've enjoyed my time here it very much.
"People have been very kind and they work so professionally. The Academy set-up is more professional than in Portugal, not necessarily the bigger clubs like Porto, but in the country generally.
"I have been very impressed with the training and the conditioning.
"I was in Newcastle for 10, 15 days with Mr Robson. A real gentlemen. It was different because there I was with the players, did the physical conditioning and felt the work.
"I travelled with the players to the stadium, watched the games, it was very good. Mr Robson treated me so well. He talked to Mr Pleat and advised us to go to Tottenham to see how another club works."
Alexandre added: "We have watched the first team and we have enjoyed the physical training. The physical coach (Kunle Odetoyinbo) is very professional and a very nice person, he has talked to us a lot and explained exactly how it all works."
Of course, Helder was an added attraction. Marco added: "It has been nice to see Helder and good to come to another country and another club and be able to speak to someone from my club, Porto. He is a very good player and we miss him."
