Martin Jol agreed on one area of improvement for next season - our home points return against the promoted teams.
It has not been such a profitable one over the course of this campaign, with three draws against Norwich, Crystal Palace and West Brom. Overall, from the 18 points available - home and away - against the newcomers we have banked just seven in what have been often frustrating encounters.
"That tells you everything, if you play against these teams at home you should pressurise them and maybe be a bit more clever on the flanks," reasoned the Head Coach.
"We have to work on that and look at it. It is a young team, everybody is fighting for a place and that is a good thing. The spirit is sky high, they want to achieve something for the club and for themselves."
With this in mind, Martin hopes good things can still be achieved from the remaining games of this season.
"We are on the fringe and hopefully we can do something in the coming weeks. We still have Arsenal, Aston Villa, Middlesbrough and Blackburn and hopefully we can take eight or nine points from that."
