We might have even grabbed maximum points as Gareth Bale broke clear five minutes from time but Pepe Reina saved the one-on-one chance.
"We defended so well from back to front and you have to do that against Liverpool," reflected Michael.
"They will always cause teams problems at Anfield.
"Andy Carroll is a real target man and you know you've been in a game against him. I've had a few battles and hit the ground a few times!
"Overall, we take a lot of positives. Scotty Parker, Jake, Luka, everyone was outstanding, Kyle Walker at right-back showed frightening pace at times.
"Of course, you want to get three and that's the case every time you walk out on a football pitch. This time, it's a good point."
