David Pleat reports that he is in discussions with Charlton over an extension to the loan spells of Paul Konchesky and Chris Perry.
The players are now nearing the end of their second month and David says that he would like to further the so far successful arrangement.
"We're working on it," he revealed. "We've been speaking to Charlton over the weekend and the minimum that will happen at the moment is the continuation of a two-way loan.
"It could go a bit further than that depending on how Charlton see Perry's situation.
"Perry has gone into an orthodox back four like when he came to Tottenham," added David. "He is a very good defender - always has been - and a very good club player who marks and tackles well. Charlton are benefiting from that at the moment.
"We are fairly well covered in that area and I am happy with the form of Richards, Gardner, and Doherty.
"Paul has given us a nice shape down that left side and, of course, he is left footed which we lack overall at senior level with Christian Ziege being out."
