David Pleat was pleased with how the lads 'stuck at it' under pressure at Manchester City.
The home side carved out and missed a host of chances in the fist half as they found Kasey Keller in inspirational form.
We also had a couple of chances but it ended in a goalless draw at the City of Manchester Stadium.
"City created chances in the first half and our goalkeeper did very well," reflected caretaker boss David.
"We kept at it and when we made our changes in a strange way it just disturbed them a shade. It allowed us to go forward more.
"We had a plan but we were poor in possession. The players are capable of more in possession, they know that. We didn't pass the ball well and when that happens, you give it away and they keep coming at you. We were at full stretch and we know that.
"I was pleased with Darren Anderton. He worked very hard and then went into the centre, basically a defensive role, for the last 25 minutes and he played well for the team.
"Kasey Keller also did very well but I don't really want to pick out individuals. We worked at it and got the point."
