Pleat on Villa

Posted on 21 November 2003  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

David Pleat has underlined the talent at David O'Leary's disposal and expects a tough test from Aston Villa on Sunday.

Villa arrive at the Lane without a win in six Premiership outings while we go into the televised clash in a positive frame of mind after our performance despite defeat at Arsenal last time out.

Looking at Villa's squad, David said: "Young Whittingham has done quite well on the left, their best centre half pairing is Johnsen and Mellberg although Dion Dublin has stood in in the last couple of games and enjoyed the challenge.

"Delaney has done well for Wales, they have been well served in goal by Sorensen and in midfield they have creative players - McCann was an England player a couple of years ago when he was flying, Hendrie has played for England as well and Vassell is very quick, very lively and a good dribbler.

"They have plenty of talent, we know that. There are no easy games in the Premiership and you have to hope you are not sitting there with five minutes to go praying for another goal. It won't be easy."
