Pleat eyes loan option

Posted on 28 January 2001  - 12:00

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Our director of football David Pleat has admitted we've been looking at possible loan deals to try cope with injuries to our front men.

Boss George Graham's attacking options have been cut drastically with Steffen Iversen expected to be out until March after knee surgery and Chris Armstrong suffering a number of niggling injuries.

Les Ferdinand also suffered a reccurrence of a hamstring problem against Southampton while it is generally accepted that Sergei Rebrov still needs time to completely settle in the Premiership.

We were linked with Wimbledon's Jason Euell in a Sunday newspaper and although David denied that link, he revealed that a loan option had crossed the club's mind.

David said: "In the last few days we have considered looking for a loan deal with our resources being stretched so far."
