Our club partners San Jose Earthquakes have qualified for the MLS Cup Playoffs for the first time since rejoining Major League Soccer in 2008.

Their 2-0 win over D.C. United coupled with Kansas City's 2-0 defeat against Seattle on Saturday sealed their post-season berth.

Head Coach Frank Yallop said: "We are very pleased to be where we are and we know that there is still a job ahead of us. The team has done very well this season and we are all very happy with what we have been able to accomplish."

Fittingly, the all-important goals on Saturday were scored by the popular Chris Wondolowski, taking the MVP candidate's tally to 14 for the season.
