Five wins in the Premiership was on par with anything over the last nine seasons while nine defeats was our best for five seasons.
Only the top three bettered our goals conceded away and we picked up results at Chelsea, United, Everton and Liverpool.
“Numerous things have encouraged us about our performances this season,” reflected coach Chris. “Our form against the better sides, especially away from home.
“If we talk about progress, part of that has to be away form.
“We haven’t scored as many goals away from home as we would have liked but we’ve been harder to beat.
"We've been tighter and even in games we haven't won or picked up points from we've given a better account of ourselves than in previous seasons.
"There has been a problem in the past where we haven't picked up points away from home. I can remember seasons where we've looked very good at home and won a good percentage of games but been equally as bad away from home.
"The balance had to shift a little and we certainly did that over the season."
