Fans: The fans are so important especially in a match like this, where it is means so much to both teams and both sets of supporters. This is the real local derby and going back over the years, Bill Nicholson always said to us, if we didn't win another game, those were the two to win. It didn't matter how well we were doing, those matches meant everything. That was instilled into me throughout all the years I was with Tottenham. You can imagine what it means to the fans to win this game. We've had our noses rubbed for a few years and you have to give credit to Arsenal for what they've achieved. Thankfully, it's not always the best team that wins football matches. The lads will be up for it and it's so important that the fans get behind the team.
To be fair to the fans, they've been very good this season. Look at Leeds and Portsmouth as well, their support has been fantastic. It's vital the fans get behind the team and I'm sure the lads will respond to that.
Memories: There is always 1971 when they won the championship at the Lane. That was a bad night for us and they went on to win the double on the Saturday. I've seen both sides of the coin and I know how important it is for both sets of fans to win this game.
To be honest, they are rarely classic matches. They are so often tight affairs with one goal either way. There are games we've deserved to win and not and vice-versa.
The build-up to the game is incredible and it means so much to everyone. Bill Nicholson wouldn't let us forget the Arsenal match was coming up a good couple of weeks beforehand and how important it was.
We've both had great years, Tottenham very much so in the 1960s. We've fallen behind them, no doubt. What they've done is there in black and white. We've somehow got to get back to winning ways and there can be no better time to do it.
