Pat Holland was warmed by the performances of a trio of schoolboys in Saturday's 2-2 draw against Aston Villa.
Joe Martin, Radwan Hamed and Jamie Davis certainly made their mark on procedings by creating and scoring the first goal between themselves.
Radwan and Jamie have appeared in this season's FA Youth Cup run and coach Pat was pleased to see them compete in the FA Premier Academy League.
"The delightful thing about it was that they didn't look out of place and that was against a strong Aston Villa side," said Pat.
"They had a lot of 18-year-old players and for those boys to go out and compete in that arena and still do well, it's speaks volumes for them. I was really pleased."
Pat is overseeing a positive end to a rollercoaster season. "We've not played what I call real Tottenham football, exciting football," he reflected.
"We've stuttered and spluttered at times, mainly due to the rotation of the side and we've struggled to get any continuity.
"I know it's about the development of players but sometimes they develop better in small squads where they play more games and get to know each other.
"So some of the season has been disappointing but they've picked up with the cup and now they are flying."
