Pat Holland was delighted with the impact of three schoolboys as our Under-18s drew 2-2 against Bristol City.
Radwan Hamed caught the eye most with a goal just three minutes into his debut while Joe Martin and Jamie Davis came on to good effect in the second half.
"It was great to see the three schoolboys finish the game and all three had good spells," reported Pat.
"Radwan has played for Jimmy and scored a lot of goals for the Under-16s.
"He's quick, has an eye for goal, very enthusiastic, still has a bit to learn and needs to work on parts of his game but he has that instinct of getting where the goals are.
"Both Joe and Jamie did well when they came on as well so that's positive for us."
Less positive are a few injuries before next week's big FA Youth Cup tie against Liverpool at Anfield.
Pat added: "We've got Birmingham on Saturday and I'll probably leave a couple out because we've got a few injuries at the moment, about four out and we can't afford any more.
"It will also be nice to give a few a rest this Saturday so they can go into it fresh."
