Pat Holland is already counting down to working with his Academy group next season.
Coach Pat has talked regularly about the impact of the schoolboys who came into his Under-18 side last season including the likes of David Button, Radwan Hamed, Joe Martin, Troy Archibald-Henville and Jamie Davis all featuring in the run to the semi-finals of the FA Youth Cup.
"For those lads to break into the team at that age is always very positive," reflected Pat.
"We had it before with the likes of Phil Ifil and Jamie O’Hara, schoolboys playing in the FA Youth Cup.
"You have to be a little careful and we all make the same mistake, you can go over the top with the schoolboys, but I think it’s a group with potential, I really do and I’m looking forward to working with them.
"There is a lot of experience in the side as well now, especially with the likes of Leigh Mills, Stuart Lewis, Jacques Maghoma and the first years from this season will be more experienced players.
"Hopefully, they will improve and be an important part of the side and almost protect the First Year boys coming in. That’s a plus."
