Supersport United moved to the top of South Africa's ABSA Premiership on Wednesday night.
They followed up Saturday's 5-0 hammering of the Black Aces with a convincing 3-0 win against previous leaders Orlando Pirates at the Loftus Stadium in Pretoria despite going down to 10 men just before half-time when Tsietsi Mahoa was shown a second yellow card.
Daine Klate did the damage with two goals, opening the scoring in the first half and doubling the lead in the 70th minute from the penalty spot.
Dario Monteiro completed a night to remember with the third goal on the counter-attack in added time.
The victory put Supersport - chasing a third-successive title - top of the ABSA Premiership by three points.
Next up for Supersport is Santos at home on Tuesday.
San Jose Earthquakes picked up a 2-2 draw in the all-California encounter against Chivas in the penultimate game of the Major League Soccer Western Conference.
Play-off bound Chivas opened the scoring in the seventh minute via Maykel Galindo but Quakes were level midway through the half when Brandon McDonald powered home a header from Shea Salinas.
Ryan Johnson (pictured) planted another header home to put San Jose 2-1 up just before the hour but Chivas levelled soon after via Justin Braun.
Maicon Santos had two further chances to grab the win but it stayed at 2-2.
