England boss Fabio Capello was full of praise for Scott Parker after the midfielder's display in Saturday's win against Spain.
Scott was a real thorn in Spain's side as Capello's men triumphed 1-0 at Wembley.
Constantly breaking up attacks and seemingly always in the right place at the right time to make blocks and interceptions, Scott mixed it up with the likes of Andres Iniesta, Xavi and David Silva and helped the Three Lions come out on top.
Frank Lampard's close-range header was enough to beat the reigning world and European champions and there was a further boost for Spurs as Kyle Walker came on for his first senior cap.
Indeed, Kyle replaced Scott in the 85th minute after he'd run himself into the ground.
"Scott Parker had an incredible performance," said Capello. "He is improving every game. He is an important player.
"He can receive the ball from the back four no problem - a really good player."
