Andy Barcham made it two in two FA Youth Cup ties with his goal at Anfield against Liverpool in round four on Wednesday evening.
The striker scored the winner against Nottingham Forest at the Lane in the last round and continued where he left off by levelling Liverpool's opening goal with a strike at the Kop end on 14 minutes. There were no more goals and the match was decided by penalties and the boys were victorious by a 4-2 scoreline.
"It's good to score again, but it is just important get through to the next round. Scoring at the Kop end is good and is what I've been working towards because I've been injured. To score there is brilliant.
"We were obviously disappointed to fall behind, but we went about it in the right way, kept going and got the breakthrough we deserved. I had a good chance to score again and a few of the other lads had chances - we did the job in the end though.
"Tommy made some important saves, kept us in it and it is good for him and us.
"Our motivation has been high, team spirit is always great with our lads and we've done well here."
Andy went on to report that he was next in line for a spot-kick he suspects would have been far removed from training ground practice.
"We practiced them in training, but it is nothing like taking them in front of the Kop. We did well, I was due to be fifth so it didn't get to me."
