A third win in a week, a third-successive clean sheet, the energy of the team, key individual moments from Hugo Lloris, Heung-Min Son and the performance of Erik Lamela all got a mention as Mauricio reflected on a hard-fought victory.
The key moments arrived midway through the second half.
First of all, on 65 minutes, Lloris produced one of his best saves in a Spurs shirt, getting down to his right to touch Bakary Sako’s thunderbolt onto the post.
Three minutes later, Lamela and Eric Dier won possession on the edge of our box, Lamela picked out Christian Eriksen and he released Sonny, who drove into the box and fired home with his left foot.

Victory moved us into the top 10 and we’re now unbeaten in five in the Premier League having won our last two games.
“It was a very tough game,” said Mauricio. “Palace are a good team and it was difficult for us. We played Qarabag on Thursday and it’s never easy but I thought the energy we showed was amazing and we fully deserved the victory.
“We’re very happy with Sonny. He's adapted well. It was a good goal and we fully deserved the victory.
“Hugo showed one more time why he’s a top-level goalkeeper, one of the best in the world. Erik was also fantastic. I’m happy for him, happy with the team and happy with everyone because the win was important for us.”
Attention now quickly turns to the first North London Derby of the season as we take on Arsenal in the Capital One Cup third round at the Lane on Wednesday night.
“It’s a very important game for us and for our supporters,” added Mauricio.
