The young midfielder made his first Spurs start as we picked up our first Premier League win of the season at Sunderland last weekend before playing his part in Thursday night’s 3-1 victory against Qarabag in the Europa League.
In-form Palace are next and Alan Pardew’s men arrive at the Lane for a 1.30pm kick-off with eight wins in their last 10 away matches.
“Palace are a top team but there are no weak teams this season, they all look strong,” said Dele. “Sunderland was tough and this will be the same.
“We know it’s going to be a difficult game but we’re confident and we’ll look to take the positives from this week into the Palace game and try to get the win.”
Dele has quickly become a fans’ favourite and the crowd was singing his name again at the Lane after his display against Qarabag, not least his skill in combining with Heung-Min Son for our second goal.
“I can’t thank the fans enough, they’ve been excellent,” he said. “They were singing all the way through against Qarabag, even when we went 1-0 down. That helped push us to get back into it.
“It was an important win. Qarabag weren’t coming here to lay down and it was a great reaction after their early goal. We kept working, stuck to the game plan and knew the goals would come.”
