Gareth Bale and Chris Gunter face an intriguing battle against their new Spurs team-mate Roman Pavlyuchenko when Wales take on Russia this afternoon (September 10, 4pm).
Young Welsh dragons Gareth and Chris were outstanding in their full-back roles in Saturday's World Cup qualifying win against Azerbaijan and now face striker Roman and highly-fancied Russia in Group Four in Moscow.
While everyone's focus is on the serious business of making it to South Africa in 2012, Chris was sure the trio would have a laugh and joke when they return to Spurs Lodge later this week.
"It will be interesting to see him," said Chris. "He's certainly a tall lad and we're all hoping him, Darren Bent and Fraizer Campbell can get an understanding.
"I think he'll have a smile when he turns up at the training ground and he sees me and Gareth there. But we haven't really spoken that much. We'll need to give him a little kick or something. There's no friends when it comes to Wales!
"He seemed like a really nice guy and hopefully he can do well for us after the international break."
It's not the only Spurs versus Spurs clash in World Cup qualifying on Wednesday night - David Bentley and Jermaine Jenas are in the England squad up against Luka Modric and Vedran Corluka in Croatia while Giovani is set to face Paul Stalteri when Mexico take on Canada.
