Ledley King and Aaron Lennon have been handed call-ups to the England squad for next Saturday's (March 28) friendly with Slovakia and the World Cup qualifier against Ukraine on April 1.
Coach Fabio Capello was at the Lane for Saturday's 1-0 win against Chelsea where he would have seen another fine performance from central defensive pair Ledley and Jonathan Woodgate and Aaron at his best again on the right wing, setting up the winner for Luka Modric.
Ledley won the last of his 19 caps against Estonia on June 6, 2007 while the last of Aaron's nine caps was against Andorra on March 28, 2007. Aaron, who moved up from the Under-21 squad, has yet to lose on senior England duty.
Both matches are at Wembley Stadium. The friendly against Slovakia kicks-off at 5.15pm, the WCQ against Ukraine at 8pm.
