OUR final Xtra from Asia - pictures from pitchside from Sunday's friendly against South China at the amazing setting of the Hong Kong Stadium.
As you will all know by now, we lost that game 2-0 - keeper in great form, stunning first goal, dodgy penalty sums it up - and we were soon back on the coach and heading to the airport.
We finally touched down from Hong Kong at 4.30am on Monday morning.
CONFUSION reigned at our hotel in Hong Kong - all because of the lift!
The design for the lobby area of the lifts included a bookshelf where they'd cheekily hidden away the up and down buttons in plaque that looked like a picture frame.
Fitness and conditioning coach Sam Erith later told us how he'd been going mad trying to find the 'up' button for the lift as he was only a few minutes from taking the lads for a gym and pool session on the top floor!
Later, two members of staff were left scratching their heads on how to get down from the 17th floor to reception - where the lads were boarding the coach to go training on Saturday night.
A lift finally turned up - but it was going up, and there was no stopping it! Thanfully, another guest had worked out the 'lift button situation' and told the members of staff how it all worked - but not until they'd dived out on the 28th floor!
Safe to say, by the time they reached reception, the coach was on its way out and they had to follow it in a taxi.
Note: Not giving away the identities of those members of staff but, yes, it was embarrassing, not least when one of the hotel staff helping us out phoned the coach driver and told him to stop and wait for us! Our reaction went something like - 'no, no, no, no, no, no, no' - can you imagine that?
