Sunderland make the long trip south to London on Saturday aiming to build on their FA Cup success in midweek.

Howard Wilkinson's men desperately need the points to climb off the bottom of the Premiership table and out of the relegation zone, but they will face a Spurs side eager to secure a European place at the end of the season. Glenn Hoddle's team have taken just one point from their last two games against fellow contenders for a top-six finish (Chelsea and Newcastle) and will see this as must-win game for their continental aspirations.

Their Opta statistics make more impressive reading than Sunderland's, with their 43% shooting accuracy five percentage points more impressive than their visitors'. But Hoddle will hope to welcome leading scorer and one time Black Cats target Robbie Keane back into his team on Saturday, to give them a much-needed injection of pace and gusto.

With these sides having conceded 74 goals between them in the Premiership this term there should be plenty of action at both ends. It was in the 2-0 win against Spurs in November that Kevin Phillips netted his first strike of the season, and the England international will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net again having come as close as you can to scoring without actually doing so against Blackburn.

The Black Cats' success against the north Londoners three months ago was their first league win under Wilkinson and they definitely need a repeat performance on Saturday to boost their chances of survival.
