Dimitar Berbatov's close-range volley from Aaron Lennon's cross after 81 minutes secured our first league away win of the campaign and back-to-back wins over teams - Manchester City and Portsmouth - in fifth place when we played them.
It was also Pompey's first home loss of the season and Redknapp heaped praise on us afterwards.
"The better team won and I can't say anything else," said Redknapp. "Spurs played with more quality than us and for whatever reason, we just didn't perform.
"We didn't get going and it's difficult to put a finger on why.
"I thought we were fortunate to go in 0-0 at half-time and we wanted to have a go, that's why I switched to 4-4-2 in the second half.
"To be fair, I said this could be a dangerous game for us. You only have to look at the quality of the Spurs squad and the likes of Berbatov, Bent and Defoe on the bench. They've got that quality and showed it today.
"They played well and if they continue to play like that, they'll climb up the league."
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp conceded that the best team won at Fratton Park on Saturday.
