His side took the lead within seconds of the start of the second half but were left hanging when we created chance after chance following Steed Malbranque's 52nd minute equaliser.
"We didn't play well and were fortunate to go in at half-time all square, although Tottenham didn't have many chances despite the possession," said Megson.
"To score the first goal we're pleased with but we didn't hang onto it long enough.
"It was probably not an opportunity lost, given the opposition, and coming down to Tottenham and getting a point is a good result for us."
