Zoltan Gera pounced to give West Brom a 24th-minute lead but Robbie Keane rifled home the equaliser after the interval to seal a 1-1 draw which lifts struggling Albion out of the Barclays Premiership's bottom three.
Robson said: "I'm really pleased with our first-half performance. I think we played some excellent football. We didn't show Spurs any fear and we could have been a couple up at half-time.
"We went for Spurs and put them on the back foot. We knew that Tottenham have very good players and would come back at us when we went ahead - and that's exactly what they did.
"When Mido came on to give them three up front it caused a few problems. But we switched it around and I think we coped well. In fact, I felt we created the better chances later in the second half.
"To get the point when the pressure is on is good - we dug in and competed really well. If someone had said before the game we'd come to white Hart Lane, put in a performance like that and get a draw I'd have been very happy."
West Brom boss Bryan Robson hailed his side's character after they claimed a point at the Lane on Wednesday night.
