Chances came and went and Fulham nicked a 1-0 win in the FA Premier Reserve League clash when a defensive mistake presented their only clear-cut opportunity at the start of the second half.
Boss Colin pondered: "In the first half we made a few mistakes, a lot of poor play, lot of poor decisions but we still ended up with two or three chances.
"In the second half we gifted them a goal and that gave them a way into it. That made it difficult for us.
"After that we went about it well, tried and tried, persevered, had chances but Fulham deserved something for their endeavour and enthusiasm and they got it, albeit more than what I'd wished for.
"We were a bit anxious in the first half but the lads kept going and that was pleasing. They didn't allow the game to die but it was one of those nights."
Colin Calderwood was left to reflect on 'one of those nights' as his reserve side lost out against Fulham last night.
