Teddy Sheringham simply describes Paul Gascoigne as 'one of the best'.
The pair enjoyed some great days with England, most notably in Euro96, when Teddy led the now infamous 'dentist chair' celebration after Gazza scored his wonder goal against Scotland at Wembley.
One of the Spurs greats and scorer of one of the most famous goals in the club's history, Gazza returns to the Lane with Everton on Saturday. After his trials and tribulations, Teddy is just delighted to see him playing again.
Available again after suspension, Teddy said: "It's nice to see Gazza back with a smile on his face and he's playing football, that's all he wants to do.
"He's had a lot of injuries over the past five or six years and it's nice to see him playing again.
"Gazza's one of the best, without a doubt. When you can join up with England training and every now and again get a round of applause off the rest of the players, when you've got the top players in England there, that sums up what he can do."
Teddy's is raring to go after his three-match ban. "It's seemed like the longest three-match suspension ever but the boys have done well, it was a great result in the FA Cup on Wednesday night and we can look forward to the next round."
Was the rest good for him? "Sometimes a break knocks you out of your stride, sometimes it helps you," he said. "We'll have to wait and see. I'm looking forward to getting back involved, that's all I know.
"Everton will be a tough game, they all are. It's a game we need to approach right. We must have the upper hand at home but they've had a couple of good results, that will give them confidence, hopefully we'll have confidence as well."
