First watched Spurs play Gillingham at Preistfield in a friendly some time in mid-late 60's - Spurs won 0-4.
Soon after I went to WHL to watch them play Southampton. We won 1-0. Was hooked from then on in.
Spent many years travelling from Gillingham to see them play (stood on the shelf). Moved to Plymouth with my work in 1981 but still managed most home games that season.
Sorry to have to admit it but my last game was Spurs v Anderlecht in UEFA Cup final at WHL in May 1984.
Was one of the lucky ones who managed seven Wembley visits in less than two years: 1981 - 82.
Have lived in Scotland since 1983 and have only managed a couple of Scottish friendlies since. My son, who is five, is now Spurs daft (he wears either Spurs or England shirt for football coaching every week) will make his first visit to a real football ground (White Hart Lane of course) in September near his 6th birthday.
