I'd like to send you my admiring experience about English soccer at White Hart Lane.
I came to England 11 years ago in 1990 for education on computer science marketing and management. I lived in London.
One Saturday I decided to watch a football game between my favourite English team, Tottenham Hotspur, who were playing against Luton Town.
I was surprised about the spectacle provided by both teams. It wasn't such a significant game for Tottenham, but the team played so nicely with quality in all actions.
All the players played really wonderful. Players like Paul Gascoigne, Gary Lineker and Mabbutt! I would like to have seen Glenn Hoddle play, but he had already left Spurs.
The spectators were really fantastic with their songs about their (our) favourite team, without violence and troubles. White Hart Lane was full of spectators, I think it was sold out so the fun atmosphere was really incredible and unbelievable!!!
Finally the score was a 2-1 win for Tottenham, although it was lost from the first minutes of the game at 0-1. But Tottenham managed to win almost easily with this final score
I've been watching English football since 1977. I was 11 years old then, when Greek TV showed a FA Cup Final between Liverpool and Manchester United at Wembley.
Since then I watch English football games frequently on TV and have never changed one's mind some 24 years later, never will I suppose
