I was born and bred in Wembley and grew up at a time when Spurs were regular visitors to the twin towers.
I think I became a Spurs fan because of my older brother, Eddie, who was so Spurs mad he actually formed a Wembley Spurs darts team.
When I was ten I even tried to dig a tunnel from my mum’s garden to Wembley so I could watch the QPR cup final.
My favourite player was Hoddle. You couldn't be a Spurs fan at that time and not have Hoddle as your favourite player. I would try and copy his style in the playground kicking a tennis ball in tight shorts with my long Hoddle-esque hair. But I also liked Gary Mabbutt as he was 100% committed to the cause.
I am now a Sales Manager for Skoda Cars and a season ticket holder. It is great to see Hoddle back at the Lane. Spurs need to be in Europe every year and Glenn can get us to be that consistent.
Come on you Spurs
