Teemu Tainio admits life just could not be any better today after we beat our north London rivals to reach the Carling Cup Final at Wembley.

Our Finnish midfielder is a lifelong Spurs fan and it’s safe to say last night’s success was a dream come true for him.

And now he is looking forward to tonight’s other semi-final second leg between Everton and Chelsea to see who we face in the final.

Teemu said: “I’ve never been to Wembley before so I’m very excited about playing there. It’s great for all the team, the fans, and the Club as a whole.

“I’m a big Spurs fan so to beat Arsenal to get to Wembley is very special for me. I’m just so pleased that we’ve reached the final.

“I think we really wanted to do something special, and although they started very well, I knew we were going to win as soon as we scored the first goal.

“It doesn’t matter to me who we play in the final. It’s going to be a tough game whoever we play but I’ll be watching the other semi-final with interest.”
