Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

We take a look at a key event from the club's history on this day...

January 6 - 1934: Spurs 'keeper Joe Nicholls was bombarded by fruit and beer bottles by the Villa Park crowd during our 5-1 win there. Villa were warned as to their spectators future behaviour. Both teams wore black armbands following the passing of former Spurs player Herbert Chapman.
