On the draw

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Martin Jol and Chris Hughton were happy to see our name out of the hat first in the FA Cup as we drew Brighton at home in the third round.

The in-form Championship outfit will arrive in N17 for the tie on the weekend of January 8/9 - we're still waiting for confirmation of the exact date.

Head Coach Martin said: "I'm happy we're at home and Maybe it's a good draw for us but then again I know about the FA Cup and when I played for West Brom we played against Plymouth Argyle and lost. That's what the FA Cup is all about.

"It's a massive competition. Everyone wants to win the FA Cup and we're no different."

Coach Chris added: "It's a very good draw for us and that's not taking anything away from Brighton because on their day - and I've seen them play this season - they are capable of upsetting anyone.

"The things you want are first and foremost a home tie and then you want a team outside the Premiership.

"We've got both of those things so we can't complain."
