Our new loan capture scored for Sheffield Wednesday in his last Premiership visit to Upton Park — a cracking header in a memorable 4-3 West Ham win — and was in the Owls team that dumped the Hammers out of the Worthington Cup earlier this season.
Booth is now expected to make and East End debut, with Les Ferdinand, Chris Armstrong and Steffen Iversen all out.
He recalled: "I scored there for Wednesday a couple of years ago and we won there in the Worthington Cup this season.
"It would be nice if that was a good omen for me. I know it will be a tough game and I just want to go out there and enjoy it.
"What a way to start — a London derby! I’ll go out there and give it 100 per cent."
It gives Booth the chance to prove himself in the top flight again after Wednesday’s relegation last season.
He admits he’s not really up to speed on the Premiership. He admitted: "To be fair, when you are in Division One you tend to forget about the Premier League and just concentrate on your own division. It’s funny but I haven’t really seen much of it.
"We played in the Premier League last season and that’s all you notice. When you are in Division One you just concentrate on the teams around you.
"You forget about the Premier League but that’s where you want to be and Tottenham have given me a chance."
Booth is 7/1 to score the opener tonight - click here for details.
Andy Booth may just be the perfect omen for us to break our away duck in the Premiership at West Ham on Wednesday night.
