OFFENSIVE CHANTING

Posted on 17 February 2006  - 12:00

We would like to remind supporters that offensive chanting is not an acceptable part of our matchday at the Lane.

We would like to remind supporters that offensive chanting is not an acceptable part of our matchday at the Lane.

The Club is committed to tackling all forms of discrimination or harassment, whether it concerns race, religion or sexual orientation, and strong action will be taken against those guilty of this offence, whether witnessed by our stewards or reported to them.

The relevant point in our ground regulations states: ‘The taking part in chanting of an indecent or racialist nature is an arrestable offence under the Football (Offences) Act 1991.’

The Club would appreciate the help of supporters. If you hear others chanting in this way:

· Do not join in.
· Do report it to the nearest steward or police officer.
· If you have a mobile phone, please report the incident by text to 07766 553225.

We all want an enjoyable, tolerant atmosphere in which to enjoy our football at White Hart Lane and one which reflects well on the Club and its supporters. To achieve that everyone has a part to play. Thank you for your help and support.
