We all talked before the weekend and thought that England would beat Greece and that would be that. It couldn't have been different!
In Germany's position, you have to win your own game. They had a chance to go straight through by beating Finland but failed to do so.
I was disappointed because, in the first half especially, Germany didn't do enough. In the second half they played very well and had three or four opportunities but we needed to start well.
It is a tough time for Germany at the moment. In the past we would have always got the results we needed - even when we lost 5-1 to England, before we would have always got the draw we needed.
Anyway, good luck to England. They deserved to win the group and as I said before the weekend, I believe they did that in Germany.
Back at Spurs, all the players are fully concentrated on the Worthington Cup tie against Tranmere on Tuesday.
We all know it will be a difficult game. We watched a video of Tranmere's win against Blackpool and they looked a solid team, very strong who work hard defensively.
It is never easy but we are the Premiership team and we are expected to win the game. As always, the pressure will be on us.
Our attitude has to be right. If we go out there in the right frame of mind and play like we know we can play then we know we have the better team and can win the game.
But if our attitude is not right and we think it will be an easy game, then that is when we can lose.
I was a studio guest at Sky Sports for the weekend's World Cup games. I have to say congratulations to England but I am disappointed Germany didn't win their own game - it would have been enough.
