Charlton Athletic U19s 0-1 Spurs

Coach Pat Holland was full of praise for the defence after Mario Noto's goal toppled pacesetters Charlton on Saturday.

"We spoke beforehand about keeping a clean sheet, we haven't had too many," Pat reflected. "That was the main topic. Could we do it?" The answer was 'yes' in a game Pat's lads deserved to win.

Noto's goal arrived after 15 minutes, a fine finish following work from Mark Yeates and it's to the side's credit that they created the better chances despite having Nicky Wettner sent off with 35 minutes still remaining.

Yeates forced the home keeper into sterling action and Noto struck the woodwork from 20 yards.

"Over the 90 minutes we deserved it," added Pat. "They were top of the section beforehand, so it was a very pleasing result."

Spurs U19s: Burch, Foster, McKie, Hughes, Henry, Kelly, Yeates, Noto, Malcolm, Black, Wettner. Unused subs: Barnett, Rutherford, Perry, Ford, Tyrie.
