The French full-back powered home a header in the second half to claim his first goal for the club and clinch the three points at Goodison Park on Saturday.
But it wasn't just his header that caught the eye - his determination and defending in the second half, including a goal-saving tackle on Kevin Kilbane, was superb and later highlighted by Alan Hansen on Match Of The Day.
Always smiling, the likeable Noe was more than happy to try his improving English with reporters after the game.
"I'm really happy for the club," he beamed. "The team wanted it badly and I'm just happy it was me who scored the goal. It was all very quick. I saw the ball, jumped and headered. It was so quick, I can hardly remember!
"It's just a goal for me and I'm really happy. It was my day. I will enjoy it and I hope to score more but the important thing is that the team won."
