Dean Marney resisted the temptation to pop out on Sunday and buy the papers reflecting on his full debut for the club against Manchester United the day before.
The 20-year-old midfielder instead just had a quick look at his Dad's regular Sunday paper and was not too disappointed with his mark out of ten in the match assessment.
"I'm not really too fussed about what's in the papers," reflected Dean back at Spurs Lodge on Monday. "I just had a look at my Dad's paper and read the report. I think I got a 7, which is not bad.
"Like I say, I'm not too fussed, as long as the gaffer and Chris are pleased that is all I'm worried about."
Looking back on the game, Dean feels that a failure to stamp an early mark on the encounter cost the team dear.
"I think we started off pretty well. If we could have got an early goal I think we could have won the game, we needed to create better chances really."
