Two wins and a draw since the defeat to Southampton on September 20, six goals for and none conceded going into an international break before Premiership combat resumes against Leicester City in just under a fortnight - reason enough for a few smiles at Spurs Lodge.
"Yes, definitely," beamed the big defender. "Especially when you are winning games - it makes for a completely different atmosphere when you come in in the morning.
"We just want to maintain it, we've been defending well as a team - a team effort - and it is something we emphasise and are now getting the results from."
The clean sheet achieved against Manchester City the previous weekend was not without its hairy moments and Kasey Keller came to the rescue on more than one occasion. Against Everton the keeper was not exposed and the defence appeared to operate smoothly as a secure unit.
"I think that's right," reflected Dean. "There is no getting away from the fact that we were lucky at Man City, but it is luck that we've been looking for and deserved really.
"Saturday was just a good team performance and we found a little bit of extra energy from somewhere and had little buzz about us. Everyone seemed to play well throughout the team and when you get performances like that it, more often than not, ends up with a winning outcome."
Dean Richards says a win and a clean sheet does wonders for the mood around the training ground on a Monday morning.
